to high chair or not to high chair

ok! i've come across a little dilemma. i guess i always assumed when i had kids that they would need a high chair. but as i look at the small space we call home, i can't imagine squeezing TWO high chairs around our little IKEA table. not to mention where to store them when they are not being used. so the alternative that i've been investigating are these hook on chairs.
people seem to really like them in all the reviews i have been reading. plus, a lot of them fold down to a pretty small size and only weigh 2 or 3 lbs. if we wanted we could take them with us to restaurants, friends' houses, or even on trips.

i think they just might work. am i crazy? that's where you guys come in! do you think this is the way to go? and if so, can you suggest any brands? or do you think its a bad idea and have another alternative you think i should consider. or should i just stick with high chairs?

whew!

i'd really love to hear your thoughts on the matter!

  1. hey girly!! I dont own that particular "chair" but I have a high chair and its a love/hate relationship with it. Its nice b/c I can move it in between our kitchen and family room, but it does get in the way b/c highchairs--well you know, they arent so small. if I could go back and do it again, I would have bought one of those chairs for babies that buckles into your kitchen table chairs....they are like a 2 in 1 type thing where they come with a tray and the tray can also come off and they can be used as a booster seat at the table when your child gets a little older. Good Luck with your decision!! You girls are absolutely adorable!!

  2. We used one for you when you were little. It was great to take to restaurants and friends homes.
