the night before easter we did a little egg dying. i was very nervous about how the whole situation was going to play out. in my mind, all i could picture was two 20 month olds pouring dye everywhere. hence, why we brought the table outside and why i put the girls in old christmas pjs. it actually went surprisingly well and we only had one spill. the girls were more into it than i thought they'd be, which tells me they are really getting old enough for more craft time... sweet!
poor reese was just getting over having pneumonia for the second time in 2 months, so she wasn't exactly smiley, but i could tell she was still having a fun time.

i didn't really do too much for the girls baskets this year. they're still too young to have any idea what's going on, but they did understand the candy the easter bunny brought them.
here's reese having one of her daily tantrums. who knows what it was about.
and then she got over herself when she realized chocolate was involved...
church ends and hour after the girls nap is supposed to start, so normally we put the girls right down for a nap when we get home, but we ran out to the front yard for a few quick pics. not the ideal place for a cute easter photo shoot, but c'est la vie.
these are the same easter baskets i made for the girls last year. it was so nice to just get them out of storage and already have them on hand, plus i still love how they turned out. here's the link to the tutorial if anyone's interested.

we didn't do any easter egg hunts this year, but i guess ella decided to have her own
i think reese was a little confused as to what holiday it was
we managed to get a couple smiles out of this little sickie
can't you tell she loves taking pictures with mommy?
she loves taking pictures with me too!

semi-decent picture. i'm hopeful that one of these days we'll actually be able to get a good one!
our easter was extremely low key this year, but perfect nonetheless. love my sweet little family!
and a big thanks to gigi for the super cute easter dresses for the girls!!! thanks mom!
Those ARE cute Easter baskets!
