v-day

oh yes, i'm posting about valentine's day. i would have posted it sometime around the actual day, but we went out of town shortly after. said trip should have a post of its own, because it was quite a doozy. complete with puking, an er visit, and no husband for a lot of it.

but on to valentine's day. we started off the morning with pink strawberry chocolate chip pancakes. then we headed to the children's museum in minneapolis and met up with my friend shannon and her adorable little boy dayne. we had the best time! it was a great day.

I'm back baby... Christmas Edition

Umm yeah, its February and I'm posting about Christmas. But I just haven't been in the blogging mood lately, so sue me. But I'm back and have lots of things to share. First things first, here's a rundown of our Christmas day happenings. We spent it in SC with my family and had the best time. As usual, can't wait to go back!

My mom and I (well mostly my mom) made this Dress-Up station for my nieces for Christmas. We should have gotten a before picture, but it was an old dresser that she turned into this. The girls loved it!! I wish I had something like that when I was a kid.

Time to call it a night!

No day is better than Christmas in my book. And having it on a Sunday this year made it even more special. Its such a wonderful time when we can be reminded of our Savior's love and be surrounded by our friends and family. A day doesn't go by that I don't thank my Heavenly Father for all that He has blessed us with.

i've been sick for a couple days and i'll be honest, i'm not really in the mood to caption all of our halloween pics. so i'm just going to upload them all. the girls went as ladybugs this year. and just know that the first pictures are from the friday before halloween at our church's trunk or treat. and the second half are from actual halloween. we went over to our friends the loveridges and went trick or treating in their neighborhood along with some other friends of ours, the edwards. we had a great time! the girls were a little weary of all the stranger danger involved with going up to peoples doors but they warmed up by the end of the night.
